Food that loves you back at Paddington breakfast institution
We've been going to Sassafras for around 8 years and the service, food and surrounds just can't be beat. Stepping in off busy Latrobe Terrace, you come into what looks like a modest house conversion with small tables and a huge glass counter and display of delicious foods. However, this little venue hides smaller rooms and hidey holes throughout the building as well as a beautiful outdoor courtyard behind the cafe where you can catch the summer breeze while you eat and drink.

The breakfast menu is usually what we're there for and you really can't go past the enduring Ricotta Hot Cakes. I think I've ordered this dish more times that my waistline and I would care to count but they still come out perfectly fluffy and fat each time with a delicious lash of surup and butter. Not for the faint of heart or those with a heart condition but definitely a must-have if you're visiting this fabulous weatherboard wonder.
Sassafras also caters for functions and parties with ample room to accommodate a larger group. You can have a fantastic BBQ and Cocktail night with options to have your classic meats or add on steaks, prawns and lamb cutlets for your guests. They will also cater for vegetarians and can tailor-make a night which suits you perfectly.

Catering to everyone's needs is really where Sassafras shines as they look after each guest with care and attention. There is even a dedicated kid's menu which means you can bring your little tykes along and they can choose from a Melted Cheesymite, Pancake w Maple Syrup plus more to choose from.
I go back here again and again to receive the excellent service, marvel at the wall of old Kitchenaids and other vintage kitchenalia and to just grab a cup of coffee when I'm out and about. I recommend you stop by for a meal or a drink sometime soon, you won't be disappointed.
