Support an amazing cause
Amongst the tragedy of the fires both in South Australia and all over the country has been a bright light. Stories of resilience, unbelievable kindness and a community that has come together in a time of need have surfaced and should definitely be highlighted.
There have been celebrities like Celeste Barber raising millions, huge monetary gifts from overseas, offers of help and support and more.
Local businesses have been amazing offering free food to locals affected by the fires, crafters from all over the world have been furiously making nests, bat wraps and all sorts of things for the injured wildlife and there have been many many businesses who have donated a portion of their profits to help those in need.
Sashiko Tattoo is an incredible tattoo shop in the Adelaide Hills. Their work is intricate, original and their artists are obviously very skilled.
On Monday, 27 January 2020 between 10am and 8pm, Sashiko will be donating 100% of the money made from tattoos that day to the Kangaroo Island Mayoral Bushfire Relief Fund. There will be a limit of one piece per person and designs will only be viewable on the day and all pieces will take an hour or less.
Come along and get a small tattoo done, have some drinks and food and dance to the music (or bob awkwardly on the spot looking somewhat like Mr Bean). Food trucks Staazi & Co and Gang Gang will be on-site as well as drinks by Prancing Pony Brewery and Son of Dot Drinks.
This is a licensed, child-friendly event and tattoos will be for walk-ins only on a first come first serve basis. If you don't want a tattoo or arrive too late, there will be other ways to support this event on the day.
The artists of Sashiko will also be selling their artwork to help raise money with original pieces and prints available.
Food trucks, drinks for adults and children, live music, raffles and prizes... what a way to support an amazing cause!
