I do like to be beside the seaside

We're looking forward to SARDI (South Australian Research and Development Institute) opening its doors to the public at its annual Aquatic Sciences Centre open day on Sunday, 17 November 2013, between 10am-4pm.

It's a time to explore and learn about SARDI's valued research and partnerships which play a big part in sustaining South Australia's aquaculture industry, freshwater and marine environment.

SARDI's Aquatic Sciences Centre will be abuzz with hands on/interactive activities, science presentations (which include opportunities to mingle with the scientists and explore their laboratories) and 'Super Seafood' cooking demonstrations from Clean Environment Ambassador and chef Simon Bryant.

One of our favourite activities will be exploring the touch tanks filled with marine and freshwater creatures.

It's a fantastic day out, where the public's given open access to tour around the facility which has some pretty amazing aquaculture and infrastructure.
