She's petite, bold, with an unmistakable huge voice - Sarah McLeod - the quintessential Aussie rock chick, is not afraid to work under lights and drink red wine on stage amongst a crowded room of the dedicated faithful. They were happy to sweat it out on the sticky carpet just to hear the former lead singer of 'The Superjesus' belting out 'Gravity' and 'Down Again' some gospel, blues 'n' roots classics 'Summertime', 'The House of the Rising Sun' and a few of her own, including her new single 'Giants'.

The gig went until just before midnight, and Sarah McLeod invited some of her die-hard fans on stage to sing 'Blue Moon' backing vocals. The highlight of the night was 'Hurricane'. This lady of rock royalty knows how to handle a guitar, tell a good story, pounds out ballads, grunge, rock, blues and massive riffs with ease, whilst never missing a beat or note.
Sarah EiDA opened for Sarah McLeod with her own brand of indie, rock and roots with a gutsy voice, original lyrics and a big guitar. Catch the Sarah EiDA Trio perform at The Brunswick Hotel on Saturday 9 December. Listen to her single 'Bluebeard'.
If you missed Sarah McLeod at The Curtin, you can catch her in Fremantle and Perth this weekend, and at the Heritage Hotel in Bulli and The Lansdowne Sydney 15-16 December. After Christmas, Sarah plays on to Albury Ex-Services Club on 12 January 2018 and then at Club 54 Launceston on 16 February 2018. Of course, you can buy always Sarah's Rocky's Diner album for Christmas here.
