Built in 1873, the offers a wide range of pub style food, many of which have an Asian twist to them. The hotel proved to be very popular with the locals, with a large crowd present when we visited, but service was still very efficient with our food not taking long to arrive after we placed our order.

Making use of whatever fish is in season, the tempura battered fish in their Tempura Market Fish was fried to golden brown and did not have a "fishy" taste, which is an indication of its freshness. The Vietnamese salad added a refreshing element to the dish and the chips were golden brown with fluffy interiors. Served with the fish was lemon mayonnaise that the fish could be dipped into to add a bit of creaminess.

For a dish that is listed as an entrée, the portion size of the Karaage Fried Chicken was quite generous. The chicken had the right amount of ginger flavour that is associated with Karaage Chicken and the kimchi accompanying the chicken helped to deliver a delectable spicy punch, which was tempered by the creamy kewpie mayonnaise topping the chicken.

Great for sharing with friends, the Barossa Meats and Chicken Pizza had a crust that was not too thick and the combination of chorizo and salami gave the pizza a delicious smoky flavour. There was also enough chicken to provide a meaty texture to the pizza. Those who cannot eat gluten-based products need not worry as a gluten-free base can be chosen for a bit of an extra cost.

The décor of the restaurant gave it a cosy feel with the tables spaced a good distance apart from each other. A good amount of parking space is available on the street where the hotel is located. It is always a pleasure when every dish comes out nicely presented and tastes delicious.
