Experience a bit of Christmas Magic
The Royal Adelaide Show may be coming to an end, but you won't have to wait a whole year for a bit of magic to return to the Adelaide Showground. From December 9th the Showground will be transformed with Christmas cheer as Santa's Wonderland comes to town.

The Showgrounds will fill with rides, stalls, food and family activities all celebrating the joy of Christmas.

Santa's Wonderland is split into three main areas: Traditional Family Christmas Land, Ice Wonderland and Candy Land - on top of these themed areas you'll also be able to relive your Royal Show memories with loads of show bags, rides and sideshows.

The first stop in Santa's Wonderland is Traditional Family Christmas Land. It's not the most inspired name, but it's a place filled with all the warmest and most magical Christmas memories. Kids can send off a letter to Santa, or sit down with one of his elves for a Christmas story. You'll also be able to get your annual Santa photos taken, but spots are limited, so reserve your place when you book your tickets.

You'll have to rug up if you want to enter the Ice Wonderland. As well as the 32m ice skating rink you can take unlimited toboggan rides down the ice slide, while younger kids and play around with snow in the ice pit. We suspect you'll come across a few Elsas and Annas playing in the snow.

From there it's onto Candy Land, where you'll thankfully find more than just a sugar high. It's the bright, fun and colourful arena where you'll find an inflatable candy zone, Christmas craft activities and the entertainment stage.

Tying the whole day together is the Activity Trail - it's basically a Christmas version of the Yellow Brick Road Showbag. The Activity Trail is your guide to making sure you make the most out of Santa's Wonderland. On top of colouring in and letter writing, you'll also be able to create your own Christmas bauble or Christmas cards and there will be plenty of fun photo opportunities along the trail.

The best bit about Santa's Wonderland? Once you purchase your ticket, all of the other activities are free! Sure, you'll still need to pay when you stock up on showbags, snacks and slushees, but kids can enjoy all the crafts, ice skating and amusement rides without having to purchase anything other than your entry fee.

When you purchase your tickets you can choose between 3 hour blocks, which gives you plenty of time to make the most of Santa's Wonderland. You can also secure your spot for Santa photos when you book online. Check out the ticketing options below, and head to the Santa's Wonderland website for more information.
