I literally do not know where to start! I've got so much to say about this wonderful event that is coming to Perth Crown Pyramid for the first time in December 2016!

I personally LOVE Christmas and all it brings, but I know it is not everyone's favourite time of year. But this event could change even the die hard Humbugs amongst us (my husband included!)

Santa's Magical Kingdom has been in Melbourne for 3 years already (this year is the fourth year) and is always a massive sell-out success. So it has been decided to let Perth enjoy the magical delights of this spectacular Christmas event which could become part of your Christmas tradition every year (reindeer antlers crossed it comes back every year!)

So what's it all about? Well, there is an interactive walk-through adventure land where it really snows! It is decorated to capture and celebrate all that is Christmas. Picture your child's face when they see the snow castle, meet and greet the original Snow Queen from Hans Christian Anderson AND feel the snow falling! Then there is a 35 minute International Spectacular Christmas Show (starts 1 hour after your session start time) which stars the most amazing performers and circus acts. It will leave you on the edge of your seat!

There are showground rides and attractions which have been carefully chosen to ensure minimal queuing and consistent traffic flow. There is also a variety of rides, to ensure there is something for all ages. That's a thumbs up from us!

Of course, you will see the Big Man himself, but you will also meet Mrs Claus who will help your children write their own Santa letter (she knows what He wants to read in a letter, so this is a perfect opportunity for your child to get their letter just right). Mrs Claus will also be reading some favourite Christmas stories, which will captivate your child in such a spellbinding way that will bring the magic of Christmas alive.

Would you believe there will be a Christmas Skating Rink that the whole family can enjoy? Also, gingerbread decorating and a Christmas Craft Village where you can make your own Christmas tree decoration. Plus so much more!

Santa's Magical Kingdom is open from Friday 2nd December 2016 until Friday 23rd December 2016, but not every day at the beginning of the event. Click here for the dates and the session times. Entry is by sessions, which will ensure it doesn't get too busy at any one time. Sessions are 3 hours long which will give you time to see and do everything.

Make sure you choose your day to visit carefully, as Rudolph will be celebrating his birthday in Perth on some of the days and will be having a big party at Santa's Magical Kingdom. There will be characters to meet and greet and every child will receive a special gift on Rudolph's birthday days.

All activities are inclusive with your admission ticket and there are no additional costs, unless you buy food/drinks, choose to buy a Santa photo/merchandise or play the carnival side games.

Now for the price of tickets! (All transactions attract a $3.95 Handling Fee.)

- A family ticket (2 adults and 2 children aged 2-12 years) $148.50
- Adults are $42.50
- Children 2-12 years old, Seniors and teenagers (13-17 years old) $39.50
- Under 2's are free and do not require a ticket.

There are VIP Entry tickets too for $69.50 each (regardless of age), Click here for more details.

You can drive and park at the event. Click here for more information.

So do I think this event is worth going to? The short answer - yes. The long answer - I haven't been as I have never been in Melbourne at Christmas time. But I have been to the real Finnish Lapland at Christmas, and worked for the Big Man and this event looks to rival the best Christmas event in the world, without ACTUALLY going to Lapland. So YES YES YES!

I can only imagine tickets will sell fast, so get in quick and buy tickets here.

Those of you that may have issues this Christmas with our gorgeous children saying that they heard it's their parent's who leave the presents under the tree, remember this to tell them:

"Some people believe in ghosts, God, Jesus, witches, The Tooth Fairy, Santa etc. We don't all believe in the same thing and you believe what you want to with the knowledge you have. You decide if Santa is real, the same way others believe in what they know to be real"

Keep the spirit of Christmas alive The People of Perth! I will sign off wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas, the most wonderful time of the year!
