Visit Santa's House
As I turn into Santa Claus Lane, I'm transported into a winter wonderland. It's like all my Christmases have come at once - Candy Cane street lights line the street, images of snowmen are placed on speed limit signs and streets have names like St Nicholas Drive and Snowman Lane.

It feels like Christmas every day here, in North Pole, Alaska. (Yes, the North Pole does really exist!).

A visit to North Pole would not be complete without a peek inside Santa Claus House.

Santa Claus House

Opening its doors in 1952, Santa Claus House has been visited by millions of people from around the world which is not surprising as the shop is amazing, both inside and out.

With everything from ornaments and keepsakes to toys and fudge, there is something for everyone. There's also a a large range of North Pole apparel, perfect for souvenirs! Or for something different, send a card or letter back home with a genuine North Pole postmark.

The Sweet Shop sells fudge, cookies, chocolate and candy, as well as hot drinks to warm you up on the cold days.

The Jolly Man himself may also be there. As I was travelling in February, he was on holidays. If you're travelling close to Christmas, it's best to get there early to avoid long waits.

The fun continues outside. Sit in Santa's sleigh, located just in front of the World's Largest Santa or meet Santa's Reindeer Team.
