I escaped to Sydney over 11 years ago and haven't looked back since. I enjoy going to cafes, local markets and festivals, and finding the best views in town for free. Visit my twitter page: https://twitter.com/sydneyonabudget
Festive fun in the park
Santa's workshop is coming to Centennial Parklands in Sydney this December.
Kids aged between 5 and 12 years old can help Santa in making presents for two hours of festive fun. Being held at the Ian Potter WILD PLAY Discovery Centre, the hands-on workshop will involve using art mediums and raw materials to create gifts that the kids can take home. Kids are also encouraged to dress up so there's a good chance you'll see an elf or two.
The workshop is running on 17th - 21st December at 10.00am and 1.00pm each day. If booking both session times on the same day, lunch supervision is included. The cost is $29 per session and includes the use of art materials.
While you're there, why not spend some time exploring the WILD PLAY garden?
Just recently opened last year, the garden is an innovative outdoor haven for kids aged 2-12 to explore nature up close. From walking through a bamboo forest, getting up high on the 7m climbing tower or exploring the water play area, there is plenty for kids to enjoy. The garden helps kids stimulate their creativity and develop their spatial awareness, as well as being lots of fun!
Facilities include the Coco Bar Kiosk and an amenities block. It is open 7 days a week between 10am and 5pm (except for special events). Plan your outdoor adventure by visiting the Centennial Parklands website.
