The Officina Profumo-Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella traces its roots back to Florence. In 1221, the Dominican friars founded the convent of Santa Maria Novella and cultivated a garden.

From that garden, many centuries of experience in pharmacopoeia and natural preparations developed. And in later years, that experience would expand to include the worlds of cosmetics, fragrances and wellness products.

Now this legendary company has a shop in the heart of The Royal Arcade. Bringing this history and luxurious products to Melbourne.

Or come in for an experience. Santa Maria Novella Royal Arcade boutique invites you to an exclusive 1-hour masterclass, unearthing treasures from the Tuscan countryside and telling the storied history of the world’s oldest apothecary.

On arrival, guests will enjoy a complimentary Santa Maria Novella apéritif before embarking on 800 years of unique Florentine heritage.

From fine fragrance and skin treatments to ancient preparations and handcrafted homewares, you will discover the secrets and rich narratives that have placed the Officina Profumo-Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella at the height of luxury since 1221.

A class fee of $69 is redeemable on the day towards Santa Maria Novella products with a minimum spend of $250. In-store only.
