A cultural programme filled with dance and music
Enjoy the exoticness of India with the Sangeet Mela Indian Festival this September. This family-friendly event will be filled with Brisbane's premiere Indian Classical Music and Dance!
Be enthralled with the beauty and grace of the dances, including exciting spins and footwork, close your eyes and be immersed with the sounds of the peaceful bansuri flute and be entertained with both South and North Indian vocals.
There will be over twenty local, interstate as well as international performers as they unite for this exciting and exotic event in a celebration of Indian classical culture.
Take some time out and indulge in tasty snacks, sip on chai or feast on meals by Sitar Restaurant as you enjoy the live performances.
The Programme of the event will include five musical and dance performances starting at 2pm followed by an interval and recommencing at 4:50pm for the sunset session which includes four performances.
After the final interval the Late Session will start at 7:45pm and include three final performances, be sure to attend on time as there is an extensive programme and the performances will all run on time.
