The is a youth-led, 100% eco-friendly festival that intertwines community, art, music, dance, sustainability and looking after the Reef! The Sandy Krak began when local band, the Masters of Mayhem, wanted to perform in Emu Park. Not only did they play, but they brought a variety of friends and peers in the local music and art scene to join them and thus, The Sandy Krak was born! Sandy Krak Reef Festival's mission is to create a fun and engaging youth-led festival that promotes local community connections to the reef and indigenous culture.



The is for the whole family! There will be plenty of activities, workshops and fun for the kids to get involved in.



At The Sandy Krak Reef Festival, they will ensure that everything will meet the 100% eco-friendly requirements to demonstrate that festivals can be reef friendly too. There will be water refill stations, food vendors will use paper cups and biopaks, musicians will be using recycled props on stage, art workshops will utilise marine plastics and the marine debris collected during the beach clean-up.



2022 will be located at Bell Park, 7 Hill Street, Emu Park. Starting at 9.30am on Saturday, 3rd September 2022, this festival will be bigger and better than last year. Please find more details on their website and you can book your ticket now through this website .
