The Sandwich Chefs at Arndale Shopping Centre is one of a chain of outlets in Australia that is inspired by traditional delis, primarily specialising in sandwiches and roast meats. It was popular, with a crowd of a good size when we visited.

The pork in the Roast Pork Sandwich was juicy and a few shards of crackling added some crunch. There was enough gravy to ensure that the sandwich was not dry, and apple sauce added a hint of sweetness. The roll encasing the filling was toasted to the degree we liked. Extra ingredients like coleslaw can be added for an extra cost.

Their Sausage Roll was of a generous size. The sausage filling still retained some texture and had grated carrot mixed into it to provide extra flavour. The pastry encasing the filling was crisp and flaky and baked sufficiently to give it a golden-brown colour.

Great as a snack or side dish, the Pork Crackling was very crispy while not too hard to bite into. They also had a delectable salty flavour.

Many of the items on the menu can be ordered as a meal deal accompanied with a small drink and serving of fries, with the option to upsize the accompanying drink. Its location makes it convenient for visitors to the shopping centre looking for a quick meal before or after they are done shopping.
