Marina Bay Sands (MBS) is offering a weekend is filled with lots of family fun while supporting families in need and underprivileged young artists. The Sands for Singapore Festival returns for a second consecutive year. The aim is to inspire the spirit of giving back and support the fundraising efforts of different voluntary welfare organisations (VWOs) and causes. Some of them include Community Chest, Association for Persons with Special Needs (APSN), Singapore Association for the Deaf, Art Outreach Singapore, The Business Times Budding Artists Fund and The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund.

The well known integrated resort in Singapore is packing this year's charity event with even more activities including a 57-storey vertical marathon, charity dinners and the auction of David Beckham's football boots. Tangle

You and your family can enjoy weaving colourful elastic around golden poles as part of a giant abstract artwork that's loads of fun. It is located at the Skating Rink at The Shoppes near Rasapura Masters at the Canal level on B2

Head up to one of the world's largest cantilevers 57 storeys high. You can take in the spectacular views of the city overlooking Gardens by the Bay and pre-National Day fireworks on 2 August.

The Art of Shopping

Retailers at The Shoppes at MBS are contributing products to local art education charity, Art Outreach. You can view and bid for stunning art pieces created by local contemporary artists in this FREE exhibition.

Comchest Heartstrings Walk

Thousands of families will be gathering for the 4 kilometre Charity Fun Walk that takes them from MBS along the Marina Bay Waterfront.

You can watch the walk or join in $10 per person. Registration details are available on the website.

Another highlight of the Comchest Heartstrings Walk is the vertical marathon up 57 storeys of MBS. Check out the teams participating and watch them 'Race to the Sky'.

Artscience Museum

The Artscience Museum is hosting a critically acclaimed exhibition of Annie Leibovitz, an American portrait photographer based in New York. Annie is one of the world's most celebrated photographers and some 200 iconic images of celebrities and families photographed by her between 1990 and 2005 are featured in this exhibition for your viewing pleasure till 19 October.

Snap a photo of yourself at the Sands for Singapore Festival 2014 for a chance to win an exclusive 3D2N vacation for 2 at MBS inclusive of dining vouchers, tickets to the ArtScience Museum and access to the SkyPark Observation Deck.

Marina Bay Sands gives back to Singapore

Ticket sales collected from MBS's attractions over the festival weekend including the ArtScience Museum, the Sampan River, Sands SkyPark Observation Deck and the Skating Rink will also be donated to the VWOs.
