The Sandringham Dog Beach aka Sandringham Harbour Beach is a great little beach along the Bayside coast that offers a fantastic stretch of sand for your pup to play.
While this beach takes a bit longer to travel to from the CBD than the equally good Brighton Dog Beach up the road - it is also easier to access the beach proper; with a full carpark sitting just 100 metres or so from the sand.
The easiest entrance to Sandringham Dog Beach is via the pier closest to the carpark.
Accordingly, with a wide open expanse and relatively quiet footprint when it comes to use of the beach via other water goers, this is a suitable spot not only to take your dog for a weekend but even to get into a bit of dog training - or frisbee throwing! - as need dictates.
Yet, it is also true this spot remains just as busy and vibrant in the busy hours of the weekend with pups a plenty as any other spot in Melbourne. In turn, it makes a great spot to stop by with your pet for a bit of a swim and roll in the sand.
Looking the other way: a view back towards the pier and across the Beach.
