You'll see the iconic rotunda that finds it home at many of the parks in Seaford Rise giving shade at the Sandpiper Avenue Park. Stroll the tree lined path and find a place to set up a picnic in the shade or sun.
Sandpiper Avenue Park playground is small but it manages to pack some fun equipment into its compact side. You will find the usual things like a slide and swing, but there is more for the kids to enjoy. When your kids climb up the tall tower they can either go down the slide or choose the fireman's pole to make their exit. Your fireman in training might also enjoy going for a ride on the bouncy bikes.
As well as the playground kids will be able to have fun running around the large lawn area. The open space will mean you can have a friendly game of footy or soccer, or play with a frisbee or kite. There aren't too many trees to get some shade under, but it does make the space better for playing games.
Set up a picnic somewhere on the grass when you bring along a picnic blanket and a basket and enjoy your lunch at the park. If you're not one for sitting on the grass then there is a table underneath the rotunda where you can enjoy your picnic undercover. There are paths that run a cross section of the park, this is a great place for unconfident riders to practice on their bikes. Give the kids some riding lessons, and then reward their efforts with some fun on the playground.
Head outdoors and spend some time playing and relaxing and Sandpiper Avenue Park. There are no toilet or barbecue facilities, and while you may not spend a whole day at the park you can still have a few fun hours.
