All of your favourite and much loved zoo animals will come to life this Summer at Sand Sculpting Australia's 'A Day at The Zoo' exhibition, open daily on the Frankston Waterfront.
This spectacular exhibition, showcasing over 3,500 tonnes of sand carved into life size sand masterpieces will be open to the public from 26th Dec 2015 through to 25th April 2015.
You will be amazed by the life sized sand sculptures on display created by 20 of the worlds finest sculptors!
Journey through the magical sand pathways and discover Monkeys, Giraffes, Elephants, Lions and Meerkats alongside Orang-utans, Zebras, Gorillas and countless more! But remember to pay close attention, as it's not all what it seems! You may even catch sight of mythical animals like Unicorns, Griffins and the legendary Loch Ness Monster or cross paths with our futuristic fantasy creatures!
In addition to the sand sculptures on display, there will also be an array of interactive children's activities for children and adults alike. Included in the entry fee is:
Plus, over the four months, there will be Special Days, with lots of entertainment on offer, including speed carving demonstrations where you can watch a professional sculptor create a mini masterpiece in the blink of an eye [only runs on Special Days].
A convenient undercover cafe is also available onsite, where you can enjoy light refreshments.
Tickets are priced as follows (cash only): Adult: $14, Concession $11, Child $10 and Family $42 (2 adults 2 children 3 to 12yrs). Children under 2 years of age receive FREE entry.
Not included with entry is Sand bottle activities starting from $6 (cash only) and Diggers $2 a go!
