I've found a new favourite restaurant hidden down one of Melbourne's inner city iconic lanes. If you like Spanish, I think this may be the next trend. It serves share plates, but huge portions. The point of difference is that the food is Argentinian.

It's the new kid in town - open just 7 months, so expect to book ahead. It was already full at 6pm, with walk-in seating our only option. The wait staff promised to call our mobile when a seat was free. After a drink next door in a funky bar, a call was received as promised. Seated at the marble bar with ring-side views of the kitchen, we had entertainment all night. Definitely the best seats in the house.
There is limited parking nearby, but plenty of tram, train or taxi options. Close to theatres makes San Telmo a possible post-show treat.
