MEET THE ARTISTS ON THE SAMFORD AND SURROUNDS ARTS TRAILSamford is right on the door step of the Brisbane area so you won't have to travel far to see some of the 30 artists who are taking part in the Samford and Surrounds Arts Trail and Open Studios for 2017.This year sees an increase in the diversity of artists with a photographer, a papermaker and basket makers joining the textile artists, painters, sculptors, ceramicists, wood turners, glassmakers and jewellers.

Some artists will be demonstrating their artistic processes and all of them will be willing to discuss their work which will be on display and available for purchase.

The Studios, which stretch between Dayboro, Mt Samson, Samford and Mt Glorious, will be open from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm every weekend for the month of June. The Trails are an initiative of Creative Samford and you can plan your visit by going to their website , where you will find the map which references the galleries and the guide to let you know which artist is at which gallery. Download this to your mobile or collect a copy from the first gallery you visit. You can use the map to navigate to the next venue and have the guide as a keepsake of a great day out. Those cafes offering a discount for Trails visitors have vouchers on the map, which also lists locations of ATMs in the Valley as some venues do not have EFTPOS facilities.
