I love writing about actual do-able things, accessible activities. Even in social distancing there are things we can enjoy doing. If you hit the like button it lets me know what you like reading!
Be shopping deprived no longer
Other keen op shoppers will be as pleased as I am too know many of our Salvos Stores are reopening! They will be open for sale and accepting donations. Remember, Salvos Stores have a lot more than just clothes! Check out the homewares, kitchenware, glassware, safety-checked appliances, furniture and soft furnishings, art, linen and haberdashery, and of course toys, toys, toys!
More Than Just Clothes
Is your local store on this list? South Australian stores due to reopen from May 11th, 2020, are Adelaide, Aldinga, Arndale, Berri, Gepps Cross, Kensington Gardens, Kidman Park, Kings Park, Mount Gambier, Munno Parra, Murray Bridge, Noarlunga, Sailsbury and Whyalla. Check the Salvos Updates for stores reopening in other states. If you can't get to a store, the Salvos Online Store is an excellent option!
Ladies Wear and Accessories
Infection control measures in place will be visible as well as more behind the scenes, to protect staff and customers alike. Expect to see screens at checkouts, as you have no doubt seen in other shops by now. Don't be surprised to see staff wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Please look for the hand sanitising stations at the stores' entrances. Be comfortable in-store knowing the stores have been deep-cleaned and are undergoing extra cleaning routines every day. All donations wait through a 24 hour period of "quarantine" before being processed for sale.
Mens Wear and Accessories
Please observe all sensible personal measures, such as social distancing and personal hygiene, including washing your hands and exercising cough and sneeze etiquette. By now you don't need to be told to sneeze or cough into your elbow, or into a clean tissue which you then immediately put in a bin. (Don't rummage through bins! Does anyone need to be told that?)
