Since 2010, the Saltwater Freshwater Festival takes place on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales. This year's celebration takes place in Kempsey. It celebrates Aboriginal living culture with the wider public and celebrates Australia Day as a positive, inclusive, family day for all everybody to enjoy.

The Festival is the idea of the Saltwater Freshwater Arts Alliance Aboriginal Corporation, which is made up of the ten Local Aboriginal Land Councils from Karuah to Coffs Harbour. The Festival is hosted in a different community each year.

Musical Entertainment will include Troy Cassar-Daley, Pirra featuring Jess Beck, Supafresh, Amos Morris and Sages Muse.
