The charming Tiny Tree Cafe in Coorparoo is hosting an exhibition by Brisbane artist Conny Van Lint . Titled 'Saltwater', the exhibition displays a range of works in various media and forms all inspired by the artist's love of the beach and ocean.

Stepping into the gallery in the back room of the cafe, you feel immersed in a serene space.

Large oil paintings transport you to Noosa Main Beach, while handcrafted wire sculpture swimmers float overhead.

Small ceramic pots, wavy plates and wire and twig baskets dotted around the room evoke flotsam and jetsam and fossicking for shells along the beach.

The exhibition showcases the artist's observation of light and the human form within seascapes. She is a swimmer herself and loves the sensation of swimming in the ocean. This shows in her delightful sculptures of diving, tumbling and floating figures.

Saltwater runs till October 16th and all works are for sale. After you check out the exhibition, you can enjoy a cuppa and cake in the cafe and fossick some more amongst other art on display and the antiques and bonsai plants also sold there.

Dive into this magical water world.
