I write, read, travel, garden, renovate, work, drink coffee - all the usual things. My lovely partner often accompanies me, and of course my constant companions, two feisty terriers, are never far from my side. We live in and enjoy South Australia.

When run-of-the-mill is not good enough
Saltwater Cafe Pizza, Owen Tce, Wallaroo, is known for serving big portions. And I mean Big! Burgers are large meals. Wedges generously serve two with more to spare. Food is delivered fresh and hot and delicious.Service is friendly if a little reserved - perhaps I've caught the 'new' staff on the occasions that I've visited.
Saltwater Cafe Pizza is a welcome addition to the eat-out options in Wallaroo, being open later than most places in town, and offering a good variety of great hot food and drinks.
Pizza menu: expect all the usual, then a list of delicious gourmet pizzas in 9", 12", 15" and 18", prices ranging from $10 to $33 depending on variety and size. The pasta menu looks interesting, with prices ranging from $12 - $16, but the burgers, at $10 - $14, are something special! Hotdogs are big and tasty, $8, $10 or $12, and brought hot to your table. There are yiros options too at a reasonable $10 or $12. There are even fish 'n' chip options for the seaside holiday purist. Side dishes, salads and a kids' menu round out the scrumptious hot food offerings. There are some cakes and sweets available, soft drinks and coffees, as one would expect from a great cafe making its mark in a seaside town.
Saltwater Cafe Pizza is open from10:00am till late.
