Are you looking for a perfect family dinner where you would get fine dinning with an excellent choice of food, great service, great view and fun for the kids? Salt on the Beach in North Fremantle is the place for you.

We made a reservation to get there before the sun goes down. They offer kids entertainment every Friday night from 5.30 pm to 7.30 pm. My children love their playground but on Friday night there is face painting,  pizza making, kids AT&T and craft and kids game for our little one. Our kids did not bother us once since we got there because they were so entertained. We went in the dinning room to test delicious dishes on the menu. Their fish of the day was to die for. Their steak was delicious and their soup of the day was amazing.

Watch the sun set while drinking fine wine and enjoying your well prepared meal. Our dinner was wonderful and the view was hard to beat. Our children enjoyed themselves and really enjoyed their food.

If you prefer to have a casual dinning, Beach Bar on the other side is also a great choice. Pizza, great appetisers, pasta and more casual meal deal. Food is good & you can relax while the kids are entertained as well. After a great meal, kids can go pick out their ice cream.

We love Salt on the Beach, the kids already look forward to go back there again.

Salt Restaurant is in a beautiful spot, but like so many beachfront restaurants along the Fremantle to Hilarys strip, the service and food is very average, with a standard that is just not up to scratch.
It seems that the more attractive the outlook, the lower the service and food quality.
It's not good enough, particularly when these places charge more than anywhere else.
Check out the Urbanspoon reviews and you'll find a lot of unhappy customers at all these beachfront eateries.
The Indiana Teahouse is a standing joke - like W.A.'s own Fawlty Towers - but Salt performs badly in the reviews as well.
It's time these places smartened up their act, and provided quality service and food on a par with the image they present.
