Stepping into Sally's is like stepping into a bygone era.

This vintage store spells the word glamour. Mannequins front the store in1950's hats and fur shawls.

Near the counter, there is a glass cabinet full of diamonds, strings of pearls, costume jewellery, long cream gloves - it's classy to the hilt.

Along the wall is the most divine collection of 40's and 50's nightgowns and nighties. They are so delicate and dainty, covered in lace with satin and silk linings, many boasting little coloured pearls sewn over the bust.

Considering Sally's is a small space split into two levels. Sally's really does have an incredible range of shoes, bags, hats, coats, dresses, nightwear, jewellery, gloves, handbags -the list goes on.

Let me just add - I have had wonderful opportunities come out of getting my clothing at Sally's.

The first time I ever shopped there, I wore the outfit the next day and was approached by a fashion journalist from The Age Newspaper, to do a feature in the Age liftout magazine. So that was very exciting.

I also purchased my nightwear at Sally's for The Miss Pinup Australia Finals which totally popped on stage.

If you are an old fashioned gal or guy with vintage in your heart and bygone in your soul. You must get yourself down to Sally's on Smith Street, Fitzroy.

You won't leave this store empty handed.
