Shop Till You Drop at This New Op Shop in Mirrabooka
One person's trash is another's treasure and this is no more true than in the wonderful world of op-shopping. Selling second-hand goods of all descriptions and run by kind-hearted volunteers, opportunity shops are the perfect place to buy a gift that gives twice (as it benefits not just for the person who you're buying for, but the charity which the shop supports) or to spoil yourself on a budget. Here in Perth we have a lot of great op shops to choose from, with quite a few new ones opening up on a regular basis.

Save the Children, an internationally-active non-government organisation that promotes children's rights and provides support for kids in developing countries, runs several op shops throughout Perth and opened a new one in Mirrabooka just a few months ago. Situated just outside Mirrabooka Shopping Centre, on the Yirragan Drive side, a few doors down from Subway, it's reputed to be one of the cheapest op-shops in Perth. If this isn't enough to get hard-core op-shopping veterans excited, the shop is currently in the middle of a fabulous half-price sale with the prices slashed on women's clothes, baby's and children's wear, soft toys, books and numerous other items.
Whether you'd like to help thousands of needy children, both in Australia and abroad, or simply love unearthing a good bargain, this sale at Mirrabooka's Save the Children op-shop is a a great place to head to. For more information about Save the Children in Australia, including details about all their op shops and how to volunteer, please have a look at this website.
