Coffee & specialty teas in a great little cafe
Everyone loves a great cup of coffee and even better when the environment is quirky and different. Here at Sakura, you have both with its gorgeous interior, predominately pink and influenced by vintage design. With lots of special gifts and jewellery classics on display, it's also a perfect place to pick up a special gift.
However, that's not all. More than a great cup of coffee, Sakura has taken a step towards providing a really interesting selection of 'designer teas'. The amazing tea menu includes things like Jasmine Budda Tears, Sunny Green Matcha, Oriental Beauty, White Peony, Moroccan Mint, Stockholm Blend, and an Australian Green, grown in the land of Oz. The selection of teas is not limited to this list mentioned, for there are many more with fancy names with attached specialised tastes. If you find something that suits your taste buds, you can also purchase the blend.
The tea I tried was Genmaicha, also known as popcorn Green, a Japanese Sencha combined with brown rice kernels and the taste was completely satisfying and filling I would almost describe it as a very light transparent light liquid soup, tasting more substantial than any other tea that I have had before.

These special teas have come about after a very long process, whereby Jodi, the owner, employed a 'tea consultant' to assist with the planning, tasting and sourcing for the range on offer
Places like this in the gorgeous bayside suburb of Sandgate set standards in the boutique and designer cafe establishments to meet up for coffee, tea, snacks or light meals.
The interior design of Sakura has been carefully thought out with arrangements of internal pieces chosen to 'suit the theme and ambience'. Check out the cute designer cube seats at Sakura that you sit on if you are going to coffee it, tea it or eat it, outside.

A delectable display of cakes and tasty light lunch options are also offered, so that leaves you to choose one of three times to visit; morning tea, lunchtime, or afternoon tea.
Sakura also organises random occasions, like a High Tea or a regular 'Date Night' every second Thursday.
