The coolest part of NYC
Stay on the coolest block in the East Village
New York is on most travelers list and if you're looking to stay in your own place to conserve your money for bagels, Bellinis and Broadway shows then these apartments are for you!
The apartments are behind a pretty nondescript doorway, which GvW loved, as it's a busy street and good to be able to lock the door behind you and hide away from the days walking the streets looking for the next best thing.
They were re-furbished in 2009 and have all the mod-cons you could want. Each one comes with a fridge, computer terminal for downloading your pics & great wi-fi. A flat screen TV if you want to give US TV a go and clean bedding - they are heated in winter, and kept cool in summer.
The best thing is though, location, location, location! They are close to subway stations (Astor Place is the closest), every type of food you could want, and bars - from divey holes in the walls, to jazz clubs and everything in-between.
The bathrooms could have done with a better clean so you should remember to bring your things or shower shoes, and I'd call before booking to make sure that they have rooms available, but the rooms were clean, and it's got a double door at the front, plus security cameras so if you're a bit gun shy about not staying in a hotel, then then GvW can say that she felt safe at all times. If bars aren't your thing, you can always walk across the road and get your palm read!
