Sailing was one of those things I kept promising myself I'd try. It took over a year before I got around to it. Never having sailed before, I didn't know a thing about it. Where is the best place to go? Who should I speak to? What questions do I ask? Making the arrangements to head out on an adventure seemed like an overwhelming task.

A friend recommended EastSail in beautiful Rushcutters Bay (only 8 minutes from Sydney CBD) and I got in touch with Wendy who was professional, fun, and explained everything.

You can get involved and hoist the sails, pull the sheets and take the helm, or you can sit back and enjoy the sights of Australia's most stunning harbour - the Opera House, Harbour Bridge, Luna Park, Fort Denison and the Botanical Gardens.

You can cruise on weekends or weekdays with some cruises including morning tea, or a twilight cheese platter. The cost is between $119 - $149 per person, depending on which cruise you go for.

Fun and relaxing, go with friends or meet new people. You'll wonder why you waited so long. When you call, ask about their sightseeing cruises or backpacker cruises.
