Allergy friendly food for the soul
Published August 27th 2012
I love Vietnamese food. After visiting Vietnam, I fell in love with many of their delicacies and my boyfriend and I have spent countless hours searching for decent Vietnamese treats in Melbourne ever since.

Pho (pronounced Fa) is one of the many foods we regularly get cravings for. It's clear soup, which is usually brought as street food in Vietnam and is traditionally eaten for breakfast or lunch. I think it is perfect for any time of the day.

Saigon Pho on Lygon street in Carlton is one of my favourite places to go on a cold afternoon and chow down on an enormous bowl of this fragrant soup.

Both the Beef and Chicken Pho is delicious and pretty authentic. I have to admit I never get any further down the menu, but they serve many other popular Vietnamese dishes such as Spring Rolls.

The service is prompt, the staff are lovely and they are always pretty packed over lunchtime.

Definitely a winner.
