From the moment you walk through the door at Sahara, you feel as though you are in a Moroccan haven tucked away from the chaos on the street—large open windows allow in fresh air, combined with the sounds of the outside world to seep in from ground level, complementing the enchanting Moroccan-inspired décor inside. The staff are down-to-earth and friendly, making you feel at ease immediately, and they go out of their way to ensure you are comfortable and relaxed before offering you a drink and a mouth-watering menu to peruse.

The selection of Moroccan and Egyptian dishes excites the tastebuds and makes choosing your meal the only challenging part of the experience! And the food does not disappoint—the ingredients, full flavours, and presentation all reflect a typical North African meal, with vegetarian, vegan and many gluten-free options available, in keeping with Middle Eastern and Mediterranean-style cuisine—rich in flavour, healthy, clean, and delicious! Whether it's a fresh tangy salad, a rich spicy tagine, a mezze platter, or just a nibble on bread and dips, there'll be something to suit your hunger and mood. If you need to adapt the menu to meet your dietary requirements, the staff at Sahara are more than happy to suit your needs.

Arabic music filters throughout the venue, and if you are not keen on a meal, but prefer a drink in a quieter zone, go upstairs to the atmospheric second floor bar and lounge area, decked out with cushions and hanging beaded curtains. And if that ain't your style, head up another flight of stairs to the luxurious and open rooftop terrace, with a bar and beautiful views of the city, and smoke shisha that come in a variety of fruity flavours. You simply can't go wrong with finding somewhere comfortable to relax to take your mind off the daily rigmarole outside.

Open Tuesday–Saturday, there's a great selection of local and imported beers and wines available, or a cocktail menu if that's your style—so whatever your fancy, Sahara can provide delicious delights to satisfy!
