I like to participate in life rather than be a spectator. Music, dancing, theatre, travelling, food, cycling and walking are some of my passions. Writing is an enjoyable pastime that allows me to share my experiences.

A mezze house in the Kingston shops,
Saffron Restaurant serves up colourful tasty food that is designed to share. The flavours of Lebanon, Morocco, Greece and Turkey are infused with the spices of golden saffron and zesty lemony sumac. The
Azize brothers have won several awards over the years for their restaurant which showcases the flavours of the countries of their ancestral homeland.

Although we had more than enough to eat, we did not regret our choice of homemade baklava for
dessert. It was soft and lightly flavoured with honey but not overly sweet and was served with halva, Turkish delight and Persian fairy floss and a perfect complement to our meal.
