This year Melbourne Spring Fashion Week (MSFW) will transform the city into a destination and stage for 7 days of fashion events, exhibitions and shows. Lionel's Melbourne is set to dress up and party down from Monday, 3 September until Sunday, 9 September.
I had the opportunity to get one-on-one with some of the talent working the fashion industry of Melbourne and Australia including Ellen Loutas of SAEJ DESIGN. A passionate designer and supporter of Made-in-Melbourne, Ellen has organised a free public fashion event at Federation Square to rock Melbourne with her latest collection for MSFW, leading up to the Spring Racing Carnival.
Ellen has 20 years of experience in all areas of garment construction in Australia including designing, patternmaking, production and made-to-measure. Her efforts paid off when she was awarded an Australian Achiever for Excellent Customer Service. This is her first experience with MSFW and she is looking forward to showcase to the industry and customers what she has achieved as a designer and further her reputation.
For MSFW, Ellen is inviting everyone to see how SAEJ STOPs TRAFFIC as she marries Spring fashion with live performance. 15 fashion models and 10 Showkidz models will be parading and dancing at Federation Square, all dressed and styled in colour by the SAEJ Design team.
