We’ve all earned a meal cooked by someone else
Like many others during isolation, I have spent a lot of time in the kitchen whipping up comfort food, baking, and emulating Nigella Lawson with a wine in my hand.
I have supported local cafes by purchasing takeaway coffees and the occasional slice of cake though on the whole, my tribe have survived on freshly cooked meals, using mostly produce grown from my own garden. Without boasting I admit to succumbing to one takeaway meal only: a Special Deal from my local Indian restaurant, Sada Punjab, at Wellington Point.
The tribe had previously enjoyed in-house eating at the cosy and casual restaurant. It's one of those suburban eateries that aren't flash but where the food is delicious. You know the ones I mean.
Sada Punjab is re-opening slowly according to current restrictions and you can go here for their menu and other information.
I wanted to share their Takeaway Special Deal for those not yet comfortable about going too far out and about.
The Special Deal contains Chicken Tikka (1 serve), 2 Main Curries, 2 Saffron Rice, 2 Naan, Raita and Pappadums and costs $48.90. It satisfied the empty bellies of three adults, who almost went as far as licking their plates clean.
