This exhibition will give Australians the unique opportunity to discover the treasures of the Saatchi Gallery, a contemporary art gallery in London. The Saatchi Gallery, which was opened by Charles Saatchi in 1985, is renowned for exhibiting ground-breaking artworks created by the likes of Damien Hirst, Jenny Saville, Sarah Lucas, Gavin Turk, Jake and Dinos Chapman, Rachel Whiteread and Tracey Emin.

As part of the forthcoming Saatchi Gallery in Adelaide: British Art Now exhibition, patrons will be able to bear witness to the stark beauty of Tracey Emin's My Bed, Toby Ziegler's engaging landscape Designated For Leisure, Steve Bishop's whimsical sculpture Christian Dior - J'adore (Mountain Goat), Littlewhitehead's all to real installation It Happened In The Corner…, Barry Reigate's 'light sculpture' Triumph In The Face Of Adversity and many more celebrated iconic British artworks.

This truly is a fantastic opportunity to explore the thriving British art scene. The exhibition will be open to the public until October 23, 2011. For further details on this exciting upcoming exhibition at the Art Gallery of South Australia, please see the official website here. There are a range of Floor Talks accompanying the exhibition; for full details please see here.

I went to visit the Saatchi Gallery exhibition the other day. Some very interesting pieces (and some very strange ones) but it was definitely worth a look. Great to have this come to Adelaide. The Art Gallery is getting some really interesting exhibitions these days.
