Swap meets are traditionally a place to buy, sell or swap auto car parts, motorcycles, workshop gear and tools. These days many site holders will also have additional items such as bicycles, auto books, plants, kid's toys, collectables and shed clean outs. Every swap is different and you never know what you will find, but it is hard to leave without buying something. You will find things here for women, men and the kids, so take the family.
Tips for attending a swap are;
Take cash in small notes and coins. Site holder will have a limited change.
Rug up warm for the winter swaps or sun hat for summer.
Take a carry bag or trolley. Inevitably you will end up buying something you can't live without and will need to carry it. Some larger swaps have a designated pick up spot for large items such as car parts, wheels etc, where you can drive your car to pick up them up. Dogs are not allowed at swaps.
Buy some food and drink as most swap meets are a fundraiser for local sports clubs or service clubs. There is always plenty of food, but they do not usually cater to special diets. Swaps start early in the morning and wind up soon after lunch. They are usually all over by 2pm.
