Excellently located close to Parliament House, is a convenient hotel for both business and leisure travellers. Popular tourist attractions, such as Questacon and the National Gallery, are nearby and Lake Burley Griffin is within a ten-minute walk along wide tree-lined streets.

is a three-floor hotel, containing 186 air-conditioned, non-smoking rooms in a quiet Canberra suburb. The rooms and suites are large with full-length windows that overlook the interior garden courtyard or the quiet (by Sydney standards) roads. The bed we had was large and comfortable and the room had all the usual amenities of mini bar, iron & board, TV, hairdryer and kettle. The refurbished bathroom was large and clean with a walk-in-shower and two sinks on the vanity.

Facilities at the hotel include a restaurant, bar, gym, indoor heated pool, spa & sauna, all of which were well patronised when we visited. The breakfast buffet was ample with plenty of choices for fussy diners with the exception of the coffee which was undrinkable. Undercover parking is available for $12 a day with unlimited exits and free Wi-Fi is included with your stay. The reception staff were friendly and efficient, as were the housekeeping and catering staff and everyone was willing to offer tourist advice. The hotel also caters for functions and events such as conferences and weddings.

Rydges Capital is a great spot for a family getaway as there is so much on their doorstep and many activities are a short walk or drive away. Walking and cycling tracks through lovely parks and along the lakeside abound; there are abundant dining options at the nearby Kingston foreshore and Manuka, as well as a cinema and supermarket. Manuka Oval and Art Deco pool are within a 15 minutes walk and Canberra airport is a 10 minutes drive away.
