Located on the lovely Hillarys Boat Harbour, with views of the water, is the quirky Rustica Canteen. I say quirky because the venue is full of mismatched tables and chairs and even the coffee cups are all different - some from Kmart even!
I and a couple of friends visited this venue for lunch on a lovely sunny Saturday, we picked the venue after finding it as an option in the Entertainment Book App. We chose a table near the back entrance, with the nice water views I mentioned above.
They have a large selection of food options, even an all-day breakfast if that's what you are after, there is also a selection of pizzas and pasta. I will admit I was a little disappointed because the item I took a while to pick wasn't available when I went to place my order, so I quickly had to decide on something else.
The food was served rather quickly, and while I was a little disappointed (again) with the size of my chicken wrap for the price, the fish and chips ordered by my friend was a very generous serving.
The drinks were very nice and the smoothies and milkshakes I saw looked very yummy - the anti-oxidant smoothie was very tasty, and my dining companion complimented them on their coffee. If you are looking for a good feed with fast service, then maybe you should give Rustica Canteen a try when you are next at Hillarys Boat Harbour.
They are open daily from 7am, closing at 4pm Monday and Tuesdays, and either 9pm or 9.30pm the rest of the week.
