Byron Bay is a vibrant seaside town approximately 1.5 hours south of Gold Coast and 2.5 hours north of Coffs Harbour. It offers a great range of shops, restaurants, cafes and stunning beaches. Since the 1970's Byron Bay has emerged from being a quiet surfing town to being the second most popular tourist destination in NSW and is the home to many celebrities, artists, fashion designers, filmmakers, musicians and alternative health professionals.

Some of the most popular Byron Bay beaches include Belongil Beach, Clarks Beach, Main Beach, The Pass, Wategos Beach and Tallow Beach. Surfing is a way of life here and the area offers ideal conditions for the beginners as well as the more advanced.

There is plenty to do in the area go hot air ballooning, learn to surf, visit Crystal Palace, take a guided tour of the historic Cape Byron Lighthouse, go diving or snorkling at Julian Rocks Marine Park or go dolphin kayaking.

If you need some rest and relaxation, why not spend a day at one of Byron Bay day spas set in lush tropical gardens and enjoy a Swedish, Hawaiian or Shiatsu massage or a luxurious facial.

Byron Bay offers something for everyone, so whether you are looking for a weekend get away or a family holiday, include this region on your shortlist and consider staying at the Ruskin House for a comfortable and convenient accommodation.
