At long last, rjan Nilsen is bound for Australia. Rush presents this Norwegian talent just in time for his debut artist album "In My Opinion", which will undoubtedly melt the rubber off your dancing shoes.

rjan Nilsen needs no introduction to trance fans. Since his hit "La Guitarra" in 2007, his career has sky-rocketed to a level that has seen support from the heavy-weight likes of Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Above & Beyond, and Markus Schulz to name a few.

What's particularly interesting about the man's music is his influence of 'balearic' guitar melodies representative of Ibiza's warm climate coupled with thumping baselines and kick drums, a combination that essentially kick-started his career with his record "La Guitarra" in 2007. The track was one of Armin van Buuren's most played tracks on his radio show and YouTube flicks show how the track enhances the experience of dancers.

Now in 2011, a debut artist album is putting the man on an all-time high. With tracks like the "So Long Radio", which incorporates groovy baselines and drum work and a driving big room melody, its no wonder trance fans are buzzing with excitement.

As a DJ, one could make the statement that his style has no boundaries. With an open mind for all styles of music, his sets showcase a combination of groovy house drum work and absolutely mind-melting trance melodies. rjan Nilsen is one of the very few DJs bridging the gap between house and trance styles. His success of this formula has been evident at events such as Global Gathering, Amsterdam Dance Event and the epic A State of Trance 500 main event show in Den Bosch with the likes of Armin van Buuren and many more.

This July 30th, at one of Melbourne's most intimate venues - Miss Libertine - Rush productions present the hugely anticipated rjan Nilsen "In My Opinion" album tour. With local support from Brendan B, Jed, and The Sargents, its a night that should definitely be marked in everyones calendar.
