I absolutely love this bar on Queen Street. It's accessible from anywhere in the city (even if you're far away, the Free Loop City/Spring Hill buses stop right outside Post Office Square).

I've been here for Lunch, Dinner and occasionally frequent this place on a Thursday night for their Jam Jar Cocktail special. Since their big refurbishment and do-over, every time I have been here, I have never been disappointed with the food or service.

The service is relatively quick; if you're a practical person you will understand that when there a busy peaks during the day, it may take longer to be served - the staff are very friendly and welcoming. They suggest wines to go with food and sometimes even pick a dish or beverage for you based on what they think you will like.

I had an instance here where the service was taking a little bit longer (not considerably) than usual and the restaurant manager gave us our meal for free after apologising profusely. Perhaps I'm going to the wrong places, but to me the acknowledgement of a mistake is more than enough service I need.

The food is delicious and fresh tasting. I highly recommend their risotto or pasta, but everything has always been quite delicious on their menu as the meals are considerable sizes and it's not too expensive. And if you like Sauvignon Blanc, try their Upside Down with your meal!



On a Thursday night, they have half price Jam-Jar Cocktails ($8.50) which are vodka based. I recommend the Summer Fling (as summer is almost here) and the Kiwi Woo.



This place tends to get a bit quiet towards the evening during the week, but I keep coming back, as I always receive impeccable service and top notch food and drinks.

If you haven't been, please go and if you have been here before, go again for a Thursday night beverage or a decadent dinner.
