New to Canberra, I love exploring this city and the secrets that it holds with my family.
Kids can try out the water hose & sit inside a fire engine
Do your kids love fire engines? Then get to Beltana Park in Googong on Saturday, October 7th for the annual Rural Fire Service Community Open Day. The Jerrabomberra Creek Rural Fire Brigade will be on hand to have fun with the kids and let them try out the giant hose, climb a ladder or maybe even talk on the two-way radio. The kids will also enjoy the jumping castle, live music, sausage sizzle and family fun between 10am - 2pm.

Adults can also pick up some tips from the experts and make sure your property and loved ones are safe and ready for the official start of the summer bushfire season.

See the Googong website for more details.

* Googong is located 25 minutes from Canberra, in NSW.
