The Power of Black and White
How exciting is this!
Running Duck Studio , a cornerstone of
Tawny Trails Art and Lifestyle Trail is delighted to be hosting their very own solo exhibition, showcasing a breathtaking
Vintage Life Art series. For the whole month of January, art lovers can enjoy this very exclusive event at the
Empire Revival in Paddington, an inner-city suburb of Brisbane.
Featuring Glamorous Flappers, Retro Beach Beauties and Timeless Hollywood Icons, the
Vintage Life series delves into the nostalgic charm of bygone eras, capturing the essence of vintage aesthetics and timeless beauty. Through an impressive collection of art ink works, including the evocative use of black and white and sometimes a touch of gold and silver leaf, Running Duck Studio invites viewers to celebrate the past, rediscovering the elegance and simplicity of simpler times.
Re-discover the nostalgic charm of bygone eras
The Power of Black and White
The deliberate use of black and white in the Vintage Life series adds a layer of timelessness and sophistication to the artwork. By stripping away the distractions of colour, the artist focuses attention on the story, movement and emotional depth of each piece. Black and white has a long history of capturing the essence of moments and conveying powerful narratives.

The Influence of Vintage Styles
Vintage styles and memories have a profound impact on our present-day lives, offering inspiration, nostalgia and a sense of connection to the past. By revisiting these timeless aesthetics, we can gain a deeper appreciation for history, culture, and the enduring nature of human creativity. Vintage fashion, for example, continues to influence contemporary trends, while vintage music and film provide a rich source of entertainment and cultural commentary.
Each authentic piece tells a story, bringing nostalgia and sophistication to your home’s walls - perfect for vintage lovers and art enthusiasts alike!
Running Duck Studio's mobile art gallery
Some background information on Running Duck Studio’s owner/artist:
Danielle B Latta is the very creative founder and owner of Running Duck Studio (RDS), a mobile art gallery.
Having lived in the outback, the coast and the inner city, Danielle takes inspiration from her everyday life and surrounds.
A creative since she was able to pick up a pencil and brush, Danielle procured her first portrait sale in 1988.
The very talented Danielle’s skills and styles of drawing have been shaped through her early work as a portraitist while acquiring her Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design and also her six years of work at Walt Disney Animation Australia.
Danielle’s portrait work gave her an eye for fine detail while her Disney work strengthened her drawing stroke.
The early years of working and living in the City of Sydney (and all that comes with the lifestyle) allowed the creative Danielle time to explore arts emotion, power and ultimately a passion for her art.
An interesting observation: art lovers may notice that most Running Duck Studio artwork characters have no faces.
