After a sell-out season at the 2013 Melbourne Fringe Festival, Run Girl Run comes to Fringe World 2014. For a strictly limited season The Blue Room Theatre Summer Nights, in association with PICA, present Run Girl Run at PICA Performance Space; Tuesday 28th of January to Saturday 1st of February, 2014 at 9.30pm.
Run Girl Run, created by the multi-award winning Melbourne ensemble Grit Theatre, sees three actors sweat it out on treadmills for the entire duration of the performance.
It starts with the actors in their underwear, and as the one hour workout persists, their banter and demeanour drastically change, a result of the changing inappropriate exercise wear (think high heels and tight dresses and heavy work-boots and board shorts).
This very funny take on gender has been a hit with critics; Heckler declared it as "(a) gripping, funny, original, suspenseful piece of theatre that should not be missed."
