If the Christmas season has put a serious dent in your savings, why not earn some extra cash by selling your hand made and second hand goods at one of Brisbane's many markets? These are some of the most popular.
General
The Southbank Lifestyle Markets operate on Friday nights from 5.00pm until 10.00pm, Saturday from 10.00am until 5.00pm and Sunday from 9.00am until 5.00pm. Stall holders sell a range of art, crafts, home wares, collectibles, fashion and gourmet treats.
Stall fees are charged per day - for the three days, it is $220 plus $10 for public liability insurance. You can fill out an application form online.

Hand made
The Valley Laneway Markets take place every Sunday from 10.00am until 4.00pm. Organisers hand pick stall holders who locally design and produce their goods and services.
Rental fees begin at $50 for a three metre by three metre stall and run to $150 for a six metre by three metre produce stand. The first month is free for new stall holders. Visit the website to enquire about a stall.

Second hand
The Chandler Markets are open every Sunday from 5.00am until 1.00pm and are an all weather market. The 350 plus stalls host a little bit of everything, from fresh fruit and vegetable to second hand goods.
A casual site is $22 and a booked site is $27. Potential stall holders can e-mail organisers for an application form and further pricing information.
