Ballarat is known for its cold weather. Leadership Ballarat and Western Region (LBWR) is encouraging the community to rug up, step out and explore special events in the Ballarat this winter.
Events to take place over winter include a market on 12 and 13 July at the Ballarat Mining Exchange. It will include an exhibition by Ballarat Quilters and a community 3D quilt art installation. The 6m by 20m quilt will encompass food stalls and entertainment.
On 27 June, a winter solstice market will take place at the Mitchell Harris Wine Bar showcasing local designers including Lyn Heenan Art, Bunty & Sars Illustration, Bok Bok B'Gerk, Grounded Pleasures, Cecily, Mrs Billy Candles and Simply Christene from 5.00pm to 9.00pm.
From 17 to 27 July, warm the winter days at the Backspace Gallery by viewing the "From Africa With Love" exhibition featuring works from wildlife photographer Shanna Love.
Warm up and enjoy the many events of Rug Up Winter Festival in Ballarat this winter.
