If you are looking for an authentic Indian meal, then I have a recommendation for you. Ruby Raja is nestled at the base of Anstey Hill in a gorgeous historic building. The colonial building, wooden mantle and bar adds a wonderful feel to the restaurant. This restaurant has invested time and effort into making sure your meal is more than just food, it is an experience.



You will find a wide selection of dishes, with all your Indian favourites on the menu. There are vegetarian options and gluten free choices as well. If you have a couple of fussy kids with you, like I did, you will be happy to see they have a crumbed chicken and chips option. I thoroughly recommend one of the banquets. There is even a banquet option to suit couples. The meat was melt in your mouth tender and the spice was flavoursome and not at all overwhelming. You will want to leave enough room for dessert because the gulab jamun is simply divine.

In fact, you will want to visit this restaurant repeatedly because there are so many delicious dishes to choose from.
