Having fun with your dog

On 21st May, 2017, Albert Park will become a paradise for dogs and their owners. A 5km walk will ensure that you and your dog get your daily exercise but also get a chance meet up with other dog owners and their beloved pooches (lots of them). The walk raises much needed funds for the RSPCA and you can register here. Besides the walk you can also enjoy and learn everything you ever wanted to know about dogs, dog ownership and dog abilities, and perhaps witness some of their antics too.

The event is the biggest fund raiser for the RSPCA and we all know and appreciate the great work this organisation does on behalf of all animals, not just dogs. Taking part in the Million Paws Walk is a great way to help animals in need. All dog lovers are encouraged to brush off their walking shoes, pull out their pet's leash and bring along their 'best friend' to Australia's favourite pet event. And if you don't have a dog come along to this great event anyway, there will be lots of dogs to admire.
The annual event takes place all over Australia and you can find the nearest walk here The walk at Albert Park will be a festival of entertainment for people and dogs alike. There will be live entertainment, dog agility demonstrations, veterinary advice, dog washes and fun stalls. You can enter one of the very popular pet dog competitions as well as the opportunity to cheer on mascots and celebrities as they race through their own agility course.
So go on and please support this fun and worthwhile RSPCA fundraiser. Money raised through entry fees, the sale of merchandise and online fundraising will help to fund the critical work in the community, including the care of more than 28,000 animals entering the RSPCA shelters each year. And no doubt your dog will enjoy the event too.
