Time to get your MasterChef on and start baking for RSPCA Cupcake Day, returning Monday 19 August 2019. Dust off those cookbooks, pull on an apron, preheat the oven and get baking some heavenly treats.
Get involved in this great cause by hosting a Cupcake Day. Why not challenge your workmates to a bake-off? Or gather your friends and family for a delicious morning tea. You might even choose to rope the kids in and have a bake sale at school, or how about a neighbourhood "pupcake" party? Just whip up a batch of delicious goodies knowing that all money raised will be helping rescue, rehabilitate and rehome animals in need all over the country.
To help you organise your Cupcake Day, the RSPCA will send you a Cupcake Day party pack when you register. It will contain a guide, pop-up donation box, decorations, balloons, stickers and posters. Click here for more information and for posters, invites, decorations and other promotional tools that you can use to make the day a huge success.
If cupcakes aren't your thing, don't let that stop you. Whether you choose to bake your favourite doughnuts, biscuits, cakes or decadent chocolate brownies, all the money you raise goes towards a paw-some cause.
Don't forget to share your baking skills by taking photos and hashtagging your creations with #RSPCABakeAChange
Although 19 August is officially Cupcake Day, if that doesn't suit you, why not just pick another day in August that's more convenient? Everyone will agree that sweet treats taste great any day of the week.

All the funds you raise from Cupcake Day will help change the lives of animals in need, by providing shelter, nourishment, veterinary treatment and rehabilitation. For example, if you sell each cupcake for $4:
12 cupcakes can provide an orphaned kitten with a bed, litter tray, meals and a toy 25 cupcakes can cover one week of antibiotics 50 cupcakes can desex a cat or dog so they can be adopted.
120 cupcakes can subsidise emergency surgery
175 cupcakes can subsidise the cost of prosecuting a cruelty offender in court
The RSPCA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) is a non-government charity providing animal care and protection services. They are the voice of animals in Australia. Click here to read more about the great work that the RSPCA do.
