The first ever Rozelle Village Fair will be held along Darling Street on Sunday November 30, from 10.00am to 4.00pm. Between Victoria Road and Wise Street, the space will be transformed by artificial grass, picnic blankets, market stalls and all the hustle and bustle that comes with a street fair.
Entertainment during the event will be centred around two main stages, with performers to include children's acts, dances and world music. Roving street performers and theatre acts will also keep everyone amused.
Elsewhere activities will include fun for children (including face painting), craft, art displays, cooking demonstrations, a rock climbing wall, fashion, choirs and even a giant communal dining table running down the middle of Darling Street. The Rozelle Markets, which run every Saturday and Sunday, will keep running in conjunction with the fair.
In the wake of the adversity experienced by Rozelle in September, the village fair offers an opportunity to celebrate the area's talent an charm, while driving business back into the suburb.
